I love how much the spotlight jumps around this volume。 We're introduced to Inarizaki's team captain， Kita， and his meaningful and observant approach to volleyball （and life）。 Just like how the Miya twins' offensive pressure can mirror Karasuno's quick duo of Kageyama and Hinata （even stealing their moves）， Kita as a captain can measure a similar role to Daichi。 Not exactly a standout player but solid and reliable， especially when it comes to keeping his team in check。 Tsukishima's defensive cap I love how much the spotlight jumps around this volume。 We're introduced to Inarizaki's team captain， Kita， and his meaningful and observant approach to volleyball （and life）。 Just like how the Miya twins' offensive pressure can mirror Karasuno's quick duo of Kageyama and Hinata （even stealing their moves）， Kita as a captain can measure a similar role to Daichi。 Not exactly a standout player but solid and reliable， especially when it comes to keeping his team in check。 Tsukishima's defensive capabilities are highlighted once again， as well as Nishinoya's。。。 let's just say faults。 The "guardian angel" of Karasuno has been pretty lackluster so far， and it's neat to see him on his back foot。 This isn't like Ushijima， where he needed time to adjust， he's just not good enough right now to deal with things like Astumu Miya's serves。 Then there's Kinoshita， who's spend most of this series on the bench， desparately trying to get his next turn to make something happen in a game。 It's wonderful that Haruichi Furudate can explore so many members of the cast in a single volume and have it not feel overcrowded。 。。。more

NISHINOYA CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT FOR THE WIN， FOLKS！！！Omg， I was wondering when Nishinoya was going to get the spotlight and get some much needed character development/backstory， and Furudate did not disappoint！ That final chapter was absolute perfection and all that build up from the start of the match paid off！I really like Kita， Inarizaki's captain， and while he may not be the most interesting character in the series， his role in the team is important and matches his personality flawlessly。 On NISHINOYA CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT FOR THE WIN， FOLKS！！！Omg， I was wondering when Nishinoya was going to get the spotlight and get some much needed character development/backstory， and Furudate did not disappoint！ That final chapter was absolute perfection and all that build up from the start of the match paid off！I really like Kita， Inarizaki's captain， and while he may not be the most interesting character in the series， his role in the team is important and matches his personality flawlessly。 On a separate note， I ADORE Suguru and Miya-chan's interactions。 Suguru really is a cool character and I love watching him explain the game to his love interest。 So cute！This match is shaving years off of my life， but it has been so worth it！ 。。。more
